Calculation. The page uses the local free-human-design JavaScript package and its astronomia-based ephemeris calculations to derive Personality and Design activations.
Time zone. Your selected IANA time zone converts the local birth time to the correct instant. The tool does not use a remote chart API or store the details you enter.
Limits. Results are an interpretive self-reflection framework, not scientifically validated advice or a substitute for medical, psychological, legal, or financial guidance.

This calculator gives you a practical starting point: the BodyGraph, your Type, Strategy, Authority, Profile, defined centers, active channels, and gates. It is built for exploration, not for predicting outcomes or replacing professional advice.
Why birth time and time zone matter
The Human Design calculation uses the date, exact local birth time, and an IANA time zone. A different time zone or a missing daylight-saving adjustment can change planetary positions near a boundary, which may change parts of the chart. Start with the time shown on a birth record when available. If the time is uncertain, treat the result as a hypothesis to explore rather than a fixed identity label.
What the BodyGraph is showing
The BodyGraph is a diagram with nine centers. Filled centers are calculated as defined from the chart activations; white centers are open in this calculation. Lines connect centers through channels. The visual is a compact map of the results, while the result cards give plain-language labels so you can start reading without memorizing the diagram.

What This Free Human Design Chart Includes
The calculator returns the core chart data that a useful Human Design overview should make visible. Each field comes from the same local calculation rather than a generic quiz or a pre-written personality description.
Type and Strategy
Your Type is the high-level category calculated from the BodyGraph. The companion Strategy is a traditional Human Design prompt for how to engage with opportunities: wait to respond, wait for an invitation, inform before acting, or wait for a lunar cycle. Read it as a reflective experiment, not a rule that overrides your judgment.
Authority
Authority is the decision-making lens shown by the calculation, such as Emotional, Sacral, Splenic, Ego, Self-Projected, Mental, Lunar, or none. It describes a Human Design framework for noticing your own decision process. It is not medical, psychological, financial, or legal advice.
Profile
A Profile has two line numbers, such as 1/3 or 5/2. In Human Design traditions, these numbers are used to discuss recurring learning and relationship themes. The tool displays the calculated label; use a full interpretation only after checking that the underlying birth details are correct.
Defined centers
The result names the centers that are defined in the current calculation. The BodyGraph colors these centers so you can connect the text result to the visual layout. Open and defined are descriptive terms inside Human Design; neither means that a person is better, more complete, or limited.
Channels and gates
A defined channel links two centers. Gates are the individual activation numbers used by the system. Showing them makes this a real chart output rather than a Type-only result, and gives experienced users details they can verify against another Human Design charting tool.
Local browser calculation
Your birth date, time, and selected time zone are used in your browser for this calculation. This page does not send those fields to a newly added Human Design chart API or save them as a chart profile. Standard site analytics and the privacy policy still apply to the website as a whole.

How to Calculate Your Human Design Chart
The form is intentionally short. It asks only for the details the local engine needs to calculate a chart and lets you choose a recognized time zone from city search results.
Enter the recorded birth date and time
Use the local date and time at the place of birth. Do not convert it to your current time zone. If you only know an approximate time, try to obtain the original record before relying on the finer chart details.
Search for the birth city or time zone
Type a city name and choose a suggested IANA time zone, such as America/New_York or Europe/Lisbon. The selected time zone, rather than your device setting, is what is passed to the chart calculation.
Calculate, inspect, and verify
Generate the chart, then review the Type, Strategy, Authority, Profile, centers, channels, and gates together. If you are comparing sources, make sure every calculator uses the same date, time, location, and time-zone convention before concluding that there is a discrepancy.
